As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced Project Managers, gaining hands-on exposure to every phase of a project — from planning and permitting to scheduling and closeout. Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling

Assist with take-offs and scope reviews, comparing initial estimates to actual project requirements.

Help develop detailed project schedules, track milestones, and make adjustments as needed.
Budget & Work Order Coordination

Support in preparing work orders, budgets, and resource allocations for field and office teams.

Assist in managing change orders and updating documentation when project scope shifts.
Permitting & Documentation
-
Help prepare and submit permit applications in compliance with local codes and regulations.

Maintain accurate change documentation, ensuring all modifications are properly recorded.
Communication & Coordination

Act as a liaison between owners, engineers, field staff, and management.

Track production data from the field and provide regular progress updates to supervisors.
Document Control

Organize and maintain project files (electronic and hard copy).
-
Track submittals and RFIs, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.

Draft and distribute project correspondence as directed.
Administrative & Financial Support

Assist with buy-out logs, cost coding, and invoice tracking.

Help prepare reports and participate in project meetings.

Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

1–3 years of experience in construction project management or related role a plus

Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and budgeting

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
