JMH is seeking an experienced GPS Dozer Operator to join our team! In this position, you will have a strong understanding of GPS systems, experience operating GPS-enabled excavators, and the ability to achieve accurate excavation control.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators equipped with GPS technology for digging, grading, trenching, and earthmoving tasks
- Utilize the GPS system to achieve accurate positioning and excavation control
- Perform precise trenching and digging operations according to project requirements
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the excavator and report any equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors and supervisors, for efficient operations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any incidents or safety concerns
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating excavators with GPS technology in excavation or earthmoving projects
- Strong understanding and proficiency in using GPS systems for excavation control
- Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
- Sit, stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines for equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to read and write English
