Job Description:

JMH is seeking an experienced GPS Hoe/Excavator Operator to join our team! As a GPS Hoe/Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators equipped with GPS technology to perform digging, grading, trenching, and earthmoving tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GPS systems, experience operating GPS-enabled excavators, and the ability to achieve accurate excavation control.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators equipped with GPS technology for digging, grading, trenching, and earthmoving tasks
• Utilize the GPS system to achieve accurate positioning and excavation control
• Perform precise trenching and digging operations according to project requirements
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on the excavator and report any equipment malfunctions
• Coordinate with team members, including surveyors and supervisors, for efficient operations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any incidents or safety concerns

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating excavators with GPS technology in excavation or earthmoving projects
• Strong understanding and proficiency in using GPS systems for excavation control
• Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines for equipment operation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to read and write English
